Discover Ways to Get Involved

Volunteer Opportunities

At New Leases on Life, volunteers are the heart of our mission. We offer a variety of opportunities for families, individuals, groups, and organizations to make a real difference in the lives of people facing hardship. Whether you’re passionate about helping the homeless, supporting survivors of domestic violence, assisting with food and clothing drives, mentoring youth, or lending a hand at special events, there’s a place for you on our team.

Safe and Inclusive Environment

creating a safe and inclusive environment is at the heart of everything we do. This means every individual—regardless of background, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, age, or ability—is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. Our programs and facilities are designed to be welcoming, accessible, and supportive for all.

Community Support Services

At New Leases on Life, our Community Support Services are designed to address the urgent and ongoing needs of individuals and families facing hardship, crisis, and grief. These services go beyond short-term aid — they create pathways to stability, dignity, and long-term success.

Volunteer Requirements

We welcome compassionate individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of those we serve. To ensure the safety, dignity, and effectiveness of our programs, we have established the following volunteer requirements:

Commitment Level

At New Leases on Life, we value our volunteers and understand that everyone’s availability is different. However, to ensure consistent support for those we serve, we encourage a commitment level that balances flexibility with reliability

Passion for Service

At New Leases on Life, passion for service is at the heart of everything we do. It means going beyond simply volunteering your time — it’s about approaching every interaction with empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to uplift others. Passion for service shows in the way volunteers and staff listen, respond, and support individuals with dignity and respect, no matter their circumstances.

“The Healing Starts Here” – This signals a beginning. By engaging with New Leases on Life (whether through programs, support, or community), individuals are taking the first step on their journey to emotional, physical, and spiritual healing.

“Lives Rebuilt” – It’s not just about temporary help, but about giving individuals the tools, resources, and opportunities to rebuild their lives with dignity and stability.
